التطرف الفکري ظاهرة مرکبة وأسبابها کثيرة ومتداخلة فمنها ما هو ديني وما هو سياسي وما هو اقتصادي ونفسي. وقد يرجع التطرف إلى شخصية المتطرف ذاته.
وتحددت أهداف الدراسة في هدف رئيسي وهو اختيار تأثير برنامج التدخل المهني باستخدام المدخل الوقائي في الخدمة الاجتماعية في حماية الشباب الجامعي من التطرف الفکري. وتنتمي الدراسة الحالية إلى دراسات قياس عائد التدخل المهني دراسة شبه تجريبية.
وتناولت الدراسة : مفاهيم التدخل المهني، المدخل الوقائي التطرف الفکري. وتحدد الفرض الرئيسي للدراسة في : توجد علاقة ذات دلالة إحصائية بين التدخل المهني باستخدام المدخل الوقائي وحماية الشباب الجامعي من العوامل المؤدية للتطرف الفکري).
ومن أهم نتائج الدراسة: صحة الفرض الرئيسي للدراسة.

Abstract
 
The Professional intervention program in Social Work by using A preventive Approach to protect the university youth from the factors lead to  Extremism
 
 
Intellectual extremism is a complex phenomenon and its cause by many factors including the religious, political, psychological and another factors.
The main aim of the study determined in testing the effective of the professional intervention program by using a preventive approach to protect the university youth from the factors leading to intellectual extremism.
The present study belonged to the studies that measure outcome of the  professional intervention , a quasi- experimental study.
The study defined the following concepts : the professional intervention, the preventive approach, the intellectual extremism.
The main hypothesis of study was : there are a statistically significant  relation between the professional intervention by using the a preventive approach to protect the university youth from the factors lead to intellectual extremism.
The main results of the study was the validity of the main hypothesis.
