الخدمة الاجتماعية مهنة إنسانية تساعد الأفراد وأسرهم على تحقيق التوافق الاجتماعي وتحسين الأداء الاجتماعي من خلال الطرق الرئيسية لها وخاصة طريقة تنظيم المجتمع التي تعتمد على الاستراتيجيات والتكنيكات والأدوات المهنية للبرنامج التدريبي لتنمية المساندة الاجتماعية لدى الفتيات الكفيفات. فهناك اهتمام كبير بتقديم المساندة الاجتماعية لذوي الاحتياجات الخاصة ومن بينهم ذوي الإعاقة البصرية بصفة عامة والفتيات الكفيفات بصفة خاصة كنسق هدف الدراسة الحالية.
ومن هنا تأتي أهمية ممارسة برنامج تدريبي من منظور طريقة تنظيم المجتمع لتنمية المساندة الاجتماعية لدى الفتيات الكفيفات. مما أدى إلى حدوث تغير إيجابي في إعادة الفتيات الكفيفات إلى المشاركة المجتمعية وتغير نظرة المجتمع لديهن إلى نظرة إيجابية وتقديم الدعم لهن والمساندة المقدمة للفتيات الكفيفات تزيد من انتمائهم للمجتمع
