يعتبر الاقتصاد الأخضر من أفضل الممارسات التي توجهت إليها الدول للتغلب على القصور في الاستراتيجيات التنموية التقليدية التي أهملت البعد البيئي في اهتماماتها؛ وما أحدثته من تأثيرات سلبية على البيئة والمجتمعات على حد سواء، حيث يحقق فوائد اجتماعية واقتصادية وبيئية في آن واحد، ويهدف إلى القضاء على الفقر، وهدفت الدراسة إلى "تحديد معوقات ممارسة الجمعيات الأهلية للاقتصاد الأخضر في تحقيق الاستدامة البيئية بالمجتمعات المحلية"، وتضمنت مفاهيم أبرزها مفهوم الاقتصاد الأخضر والاستدامة البيئية، وتنتمي لنمط الدراسات الوصفية، واعتمدت على منهج المسح الاجتماعي الشامل لأعضاء مجلس الإدارة بالجمعيات الأهلية وعددهم (249) مفردة، وأسفرت النتائج عن معاناة الجمعيات الأهلية بمستوى متوسط من المعوقات التنظيمية المرتبطة بالجمعية، والمعوقات المجتمعية المرتبطة بأعضاء المجتمع المحلي، والمعوقات العامة المرتبطة بالمجتمع الخارجي، وخلصت إلى توصيات أبرزها التخطيط الاستراتيجي الفعال للبرامج والمشروعات الخضراء، وتطوير أجهزة الرصد البيئي للملوثات، وتطوير سياسة موحدة للعمل الاجتماعي الأخضر.

Summary
Research title: “Obstacles to the Civic Associations Practicing the Green Economy in Achieving Environmental Sustainability in Local Communities”
 
The green economy is considered one of the best practices that countries have turned to overcome the shortcomings of traditional development strategies that neglected the environmental dimension in their concerns. The negative impacts it has had on the environment and communities alike, as it achieves social, economic and environmental benefits at the same time, and aims to eliminate poverty. The study aimed to “identify the obstacles to the practice of green economy by civil society organizations in achieving environmental sustainability in local communities,” and included concepts, the most prominent of which are: The concept of the green economy and environmental sustainability, and belongs to the style of descriptive studies, and relied on the approach of a comprehensive social survey of (249) members of the board of directors of civil society associations. The results resulted in civil society organizations suffering from a moderate level of organizational obstacles associated with the association, societal obstacles associated with members of the local community, and obstacles Public affairs related to the external community, and concluded with recommendations, most notably effective strategic planning for green programs and projects, developing environmental monitoring devices for pollutants, and developing a unified policy for green social work.
