الملخص
هدفت الدراسة إلى التعرف على اسباب تأخر سن الزواج لدى الشباب في المجتمع السعودي، و استخدمت الباحثة المنهج الوصفي التحليلي ، واعتمدت على منهج المسح الاجتماعي بالعينة والتي بلغ عددها (640) شاب/ة، ، وقد تمثلت أداة الدراسة في الاستبانة ، وتوصلت الدراسة إلى عدة نتائج كان من أهمها: أن هناك موافقة إلى حد ما بين أفراد عينة الدراسة على الأسباب الشخصية لتأخر سن الزواج لدى الشباب في المجتمع السعودي، ومن أبرزها: الطموح الزائد في مواصفات الزوج أو الزوجة، وكذلك الخوف من عدم تلبية الاحتياجات الاقتصادية، إضافة إلى الخشية من عدم التكافؤ الفكري مع الشريك سبب في تأخر الزواج. كما أن هناك موافقة بين أفراد عينة الدراسة على الأسباب الاجتماعية لتأخر سن الزواج لدى الشباب، ومن أبرزها: غلاء المهور وتكاليف الزواج الباهظة، وكذلك الوضع الاقتصادي وصعوبة المعيشة، إضافة إلى عدم توفر فرص عمل مناسبة. وأن هناك موافقة إلى حد ما بين أفراد عينة الدراسة على أسباب تأخر سن الزواج لدى الشباب في المجتمع السعودي، حيث تأتي الأسباب الاجتماعية بالمرتبة الأولى، يليها الأسباب الشخصية. وفي ضوء النتائج توصلت الدراسة إلى عدة توصيات منها: التوعية المجتمعية من خلال وسائل الإعلام ومؤسسات المجتمع المدني حول مخاطر تأخر سن الزواج لدى الشباب. ودعم المؤسسات والجمعيات الخيرية للشباب المقبلين على الزواج بتقديم التسهيلات والمساعدات المادية.

Abstract
The study aimed to identify the reasons for the delay in marriage among young people in Saudi society. The researcher used the descriptive and analytical approach. The study tool was the questionnaire. The number of the research sample reached (640) young men and women, and the study relied on the sample social survey approach. The study reached several results, the most important of which was: There is agreement to some extent among the study sample members on the personal reasons for the delay in marriage among young people in Saudi society, and among the most prominent of these reasons: excessive ambition in the characteristics of the husband or wife, as well as the fear of not meeting needs. Economic, in addition to the fear of intellectual lack of equality with the partner, causes delay in marriage. There is also agreement among members of the study sample on the social reasons for delaying the age of marriage among young people in Saudi society, and the most prominent of these reasons are: high dowries and high costs of marriage, as well as the economic situation and difficulty of living, in addition to the lack of suitable job opportunities. There is some agreement among members of the study sample on the reasons for delaying the age of marriage among young people in Saudi society, where social reasons come first, followed by personal reasons. In light of the results, the study reached several recommendations, including community awareness through the media and civil society institutions about the dangers of delaying the age of marriage among young people of both sexes. And supporting charitable institutions and associations for young people about to get married, by providing facilities and financial assistance.
