ملخص البحث
        برزت أهمية التنمية المستدامة للارتقاء بالمجتمعات من الوضع المتدني إلي وضع آخر أفضل منه، بقولٍ آخر محاولة القضاء علي المشكلات المتعددة التي يعاني منها سكان المجتمعات الحضرية الفقيرة، كانتشار الأمية، وسيادة عادات وتقاليد تحد من تحقيق الأهداف التنموية، فضلاً عن أهمية المجتمعات عامة والحضرية خاصة باعتبارها مصدراً رئيساً للغذاء والقوى العاملة ,حيث تأتى أهمية التنمية المستدامة من كونها وسيلة المجتمعات النامية للحاق بركب الدول المتقدمة وتعويض فترات التخلف والحرمان. كما حظى موضوع التنمية المستدامة على إهتمام العالم, فعقدت من أجلها القمم والمنتديات العالمية، وأصبحت مطلبا أساسيا لتحقيق العدالة والإنصاف بين الأجيال والشعوب المختلفة,نظرا للأهمية البالغة لموضوع التنمية المستدامة والتي أصبح متطلبا ضروريا لابد منه في حياة الأفراد والمجتمعات.
  وتعد الإدارة المحلية أحد الأدوات الرئيسة لتحقيق التنمية الاقتصادية والاجتماعية والسياسية للمجتمع لما لها من علاقة مباشرة بحياة المواطن، ومع تصاعد الاهتمام بالمواطن المصري في العقود الأخيرة في سياق الاستثمار البشري والتنمية المستدامة،
 فقد أصبح نظام الإدارة المحلية في وقتنا الحاضر من أهم مقومات الحياة السياسية والاقتصادية والاجتماعية السليمة. من هنا تتمثل القضية المحورية للدراسة في" آليات تخطيطية لتفعيل دور الوحدات المحلية الحضرية فى تحقيق أبعاد التنمية المستدامة فى ضوء استراتيجية مصر 2030
وإستهدفت الدراسة الراهنة:.تحديد دور الوحدات المحلية الحضرية فى تحقيق أبعاد التنمية المستدامة(اقتصاداً,اجتماعياً,بيئياً, وسياسياً) فى ضوء إستراتيجية مصر لتحقيق التنمية المستدامة 2030م. والتوصل إلى أليات تخطيطىة لتفعيل هذا الدور.وقد تم تطبيق الدراسة على جميع العاملين بالوحدات المحلية الحضرية بمحافظة الفيوم,حيث بلغت العينة(164) مفردة.
وتوصلت الدراسة فى نتائجها إلى تفاوت مستوى الأدوار التى تؤديها وحدات الإدارة المحلية فى تحقيق التنمية المستدامة فى ضوء أبعادها الاقتصادية والاجتماعية والبيئية والسياسية فضلاً عن المعوقات التى تواجهها فى تحقيق ذلك. كما توصلت الدراسة الحالية إلى أليات تخطيطىة دور الوحدات المحلية الحضرية فى تحقيق أبعاد التنمية المستدامة(اقتصاداً,اجتماعياً,بيئياً, وسياسياً) فى ضوء إستراتيجية مصر لتحقيق التنمية المستدامة 2030م.

The importance of sustainable development has emerged to raise societies from a low situation to another, better situation. In other words, an attempt to eliminate the multiple problems that residents of poor urban communities suffer from, such as the spread of illiteracy and the prevalence of customs and traditions that limit the achievement of development goals, in addition to the importance of societies in general and urban societies in particular as It is a major source of food and manpower, as the importance of sustainable development comes from being a means for developing societies to catch up with developed countries and compensate for periods of backwardness and deprivation. The topic of sustainable development also received the attention of the world, and global summits and forums were held for it, and it became a basic requirement for achieving justice and fairness between different generations and peoples, given the extreme importance of the topic of sustainable development, which has become a necessary requirement in the lives of individuals and societies.                                                                   
                                                                    
Local administration is one of the main tools for achieving economic, social and political development for society because of its direct relationship to the life of the citizen. With the escalation of interest in the Egyptian citizen in recent decades in the context of human investment and sustainable development, the local administration system has become in our time one of the most important components of political, economic and social life. The sound one. Hence, the central issue of the study is “planning mechanisms to activate the role of urban local units in achieving the dimensions of sustainable development in light of Egypt’s 2030 strategy                 .                                     ”                                                                                                                          
The current study aimed to:. Determining the role of urban local units in achieving the dimensions of sustainable development (economically, socially, environmentally, and politically) in light of Egypt’s strategy for achieving sustainable development 2030 AD. And finding planning mechanisms to activate this role. The study was applied to all workers in urban local units in Fayoum Governorate, where the sample reached (164) individuals. In its results, the study found a varying level of roles played by local administration units in achieving sustainable development in light of its economic, social, environmental and political dimensions, as well as the obstacles they face in achieving this. The current study also found planning mechanisms for the role of urban local units in achieving the dimensions of sustainable development (economically, socially, environmentally, and politically) in light of Egypt’s strategy for achieving sustainable development 2030 AD
