الدور المهنيّ للأخصائي الاجتماعيّ في عيادات التجميل

ملخَّص:
هدفت الدراسة إلى استكشاف الدور المهني للأخصائي الاجتماعي في عيادات التجميل، مع تحليل أهمية وجوده، والتحديات التي قد تواجه تطبيق هذا الدور، والفوائد المتوقعة منه. واعتمدت الدراسة على المنهج الوصفي باستخدام المسح الاجتماعي من خلال أداة الاستبانة، وشملت جميع أعضاء هيئة التدريس بأقسام الخدمة الاجتماعية في ثلاث جامعات بمدينة الرياض، وبلغ عدد المشاركين (133) بنسبة 81% من مجتمع الدراسة.
وقد أظهرت النتائج أن وجود الأخصائي الاجتماعي في عيادات التجميل قد يسهم في تقديم الدعم النفسي للعملاء، من خلال مساعدتهم على اتخاذ قرارات مستنيرة، وإدارة التوقعات حول النتائج، والتعامل مع القلق والندم المحتمل بعد التجميل، مما يعزز الصورة الذاتية الإيجابية لديهم (بمتوسط 4.1). كما يمكن أن يمتد تأثيره إلى توعية الأسرة والأصدقاء حول التغيرات النفسية والجسدية التي يمر بها العميل وتقليل الضغوط الاجتماعية التي قد تؤثر على قرارات التجميل (بمتوسط 4.12). بالإضافة إلى ذلك، يمكن أن يؤدي دورًا محوريًا في التوجيه المهني للعاملين في عيادات التجميل، من خلال تقديم برامج تدريبية متخصصة وتعزيز التواصل الفعّال وإدارة الضغوط المهنية (بمتوسط 4.1).
ورغم أهمية هذا الدور، فقد أظهرت النتائج وجود تحديات قد تعيق فاعليته، أبرزها ضعف الوعي المجتمعي، وغياب التشريعات المنظمة، وصعوبة كسب ثقة العملاء. ومع ذلك، أكدت الدراسة أن دمج الأخصائي الاجتماعي في عيادات التجميل قد يسهم في تعزيز رضا العملاء، وتحسين بيئة العمل، ورفع وعي المجتمع بمخاطر عمليات التجميل غير الضرورية .وتوصي الدراسة بضرورة تطوير سياسات تنظيمية وبرامج تدريبية متخصصة، وتعزيز حملات التوعية حول الصحة النفسية في القرارات التجميلية لضمان تحقيق أقصى استفادة من دوره في هذا المجال. كما تدعو إلى إجراء مزيد من الدراسات الميدانية لاستكشاف آليات دمج الأخصائي الاجتماعي في هذا المجال بشكل فعّال.

Abstract
This study aimed to explore the professional role of social workers in cosmetic clinics, analyzing the significance of their presence, the challenges that may arise in implementing this role, and the expected benefits. The study adopted a descriptive methodology utilizing a social survey approach through a questionnaire. The sample included all faculty members from social work departments in three universities in Riyadh, with a total of 133 participants, representing 81% of the study population.
The findings indicated that the presence of a social worker in cosmetic clinics could contribute to providing psychological support to clients by assisting them in making informed decisions, managing expectations regarding outcomes, and coping with potential anxiety and regret post-procedure—ultimately enhancing their self-image (mean = 4.1). Furthermore, their role could extend to raising awareness among clients’ families and friends about the psychological and physical changes clients undergo, as well as mitigating social pressures that may influence cosmetic decisions (mean = 4.12). Additionally, social workers could play a pivotal role in the professional guidance of employees in cosmetic clinics by offering specialized training programs, enhancing effective communication, and managing occupational stress (mean = 4.1).
Despite the potential importance of this role, the study identified several challenges that may hinder its effectiveness, including low societal awareness, the absence of regulatory frameworks, and difficulties in gaining client trust. Nevertheless, the findings emphasize that integrating social workers into cosmetic clinics could enhance client satisfaction, improve the work environment, and raise public awareness regarding the risks associated with unnecessary cosmetic procedures.
The study recommends the development of regulatory policies, specialized training programs, and awareness campaigns focusing on mental health considerations in cosmetic decision-making to maximize the benefits of this role. Moreover, it calls for further field studies to explore effective mechanisms for integrating social workers into this sector.
